GREAT pictures! i think those "jade-like plants" are ice plants. they have purple flowers in the spring, i think. i remember seeing them all over Foster CIty during my many trips there.
These are beautiful shots of the very most beautiful hiking place in California: Point Lobos! I'm so happy you got to go.
