Claus in twilight
The caption on the back of this pensive old photo says our grandfather, Claus Sprick, and daughter Alverna were watching a Ferris wheel in May 1942. We think this was the front door of the Spricks' house at 201 N. Washington St. in Lake City, where the family moved after losing the farm, so there must have been a carnival taking place nearby. Claus (10/13/1874-11/24/1942) died a few months later.
