That's Aunt Alverna atop a hay truck on the Sprick farm. The scribble on the back of this undated photo reads, "Nice looking hay." Sweet Aunt Anna must have been very nervous to see her sister in such a perilously high place!

This photo was likely taken on the Alfred Klindworth farm where Alverna worked one summer. We did not have a truck or a hay bailer on the farm where we did things the old fashioned way, with horses and a hay loader.
