Aunt Anna's old scrapbooks yielded some rare photos of Clarence, who died of complications from appendicitis on Jan. 20, 1929, at age 10. In the top photo, he's with Marion and Anna; in the bottom one, with Emma and Anna. These photos were taken at the house Claus built for his family in Lake City, Minn., before they moved out to the farm.
