Scrapblog editor stumbles across treasure trove
The scrapblog editor had been worried lately, wondering what she'd do to feed the cousins' seemingly insatiable desire to see goofy and/or historic photos of their ancestors, descendants or selves, accompanied by the 100 percent true stories the scrapblog editor makes up about them. She had used up all the photos from her basement, the family trunk, Alverna's garage, under Elmer's bed, between cousin Chris' couch cushions and Noah's glove compartment. What to do?
Then today, on the way to dinner out at Nosh in Lake City with the Lorentzens (tres fab, cousins; save your pennies and check it out) and to pick up her legal load of bluegills from Joe and Mavis, she stumbled across a treasure trove at Anna's apartment whilst helping the petite one reach something in her closet. Wayyy up there were piles of old scrapbooks! Holy hotdish, what a find! The scrapblog editor immediately loaded them all into her car for export to her publishing lair.
Yes indeed, cousins, you're in for a treat -- Anna's old scrapbooks are packed with some of the most excellent and embarrassing family photos we've ever seen! There's not a cousin or second cousin who won't be celebrated! We will post them one by one for years to come!
We'll start with this one as International Aunt Anna Week comes to a triumphant close. It was October 1984, and Anna (in sporty curled bangs) was opening a birthday present. And look what it was -- a PRICELESS BLUE PLATE! Bet she didn't get anything half that good this year.
