Cousins Chris Miller and Karl Schmidt were about the same age, and cute as bugs. (We especially like Chris' post-German-period Lederhosen, which must have gone over great in fourth grade at Lake City Elementary School.) Sadly, Karl passed away of complications from Duchenne muscular dystrophy in 1982 at age 24.
