Scrapblog editor shamelessly promotes self

Cousins who have absolutely nothing better to do at 11:45 a.m. this Friday (April 6) may want to tune in to WCCO Radio, 830 AM, to hear the scrapblog editor interviewed by John Rash, Jack Rice and Eleanor Mondale (it is unclear to the scrapblog editor why it takes three people to interview her) about a top-secret story she wrote for Sunday's Star Tribune. If the cousins tune in, this will assure at least two listeners, maybe four if you count pets. Besides that, if she makes some colossal radio blooper, it could be fodder for the coveted Burnt Wienie Award, which, perhaps she has mentioned, she has inexplicably never won. The snippet also will be posted at www.rashreport.com afterward, in case you want to listen to it over, and over, and over again. What does all of that have to do with the accompanying photos? Nothing. The scrapblog editor just decided to use this opportunity to illustrate her day-job bloopers and triumphs. In the top photo, she tried to figure out what was going on at a pre-Vatican II Catholic service, which isn't easy if you don't know Latin. To make matters worse, she'd forgotten to cover her head, a glaring faux pas in such a church, so Star Tribune photographer Stormi Greener hustled her a head-veil before snapping this photo. At right, the scrapblog editor had the honor of posing with author Isabel Allende after interviewing her in San Rafael, Calif. Don't be too impressed, though. Most of the scrapblog editor's working hours are spent taking calls from the Strib lobby from people who claim to be Jesus, delivering rummage to brother Chris, answering calls from people irate about the flying imams and trying not to collide with Sid as he comes barreling down the aisle on his way to Murray's.
