Evolution of Mr. Sports

Forget the riveting, Pulitzer-quality stories the scrapblog editor wrote this week for the Strib (her sorry excuse for not posting here for a few days). The real gem in that fine newspaper this week was crusty sports columnist Patrick Reusse's shout-out to cousin C-Mill as "the WCHA's foremost historian." Say! Perhaps we can open a scrapblog sports history page and put him in charge of it! We were inspired to dive into Mom/Aunt Alverna's tenderly compiled scrapbooks about her beloved children in search of the history of Chris' stellar journalism career before he came to be the Vikings + Vice editor at the Strib. As always, Alverna's scrapbooks delivered. After combing through a couple of musty clips about Pam almost being elected third vice president of the Lake City High School Future Homemakers of America and several thick, gilt-edged books of articles about Chats' truly astounding achievements, the scrapblog editor hit pay dirt with the above items. We won't even provide cutlines for these little glimpses of Chris' ascent to greatness. They speak for themselves.
