Wise and wonderful words about family
The scrapblog editor recently found this in a folder of Aunt Alverna's most precious papers. It's a note from cousin Sam, Alverna's beloved nephew, that she had printed out and treasured. We treasure it too. In the photo, Sam ponders it all with aunts Vi, Florence, Alverna, Annette and Anna.
Have been thinking about something that came up at last week's funeral of Sam's Aunt Delores -- that the Broberg family name was once Johannson or Johannsen, and got changed because it was "too common." In the end, last names and even shared blood don't mean much, but the very best and healthiest parts of our family bonds, which go deeper than names or blood, do.
