Chris and Davy, the Lamar Chicks dudes
In the 1970s, cousins Chris 'n' Davy were one unit inexplicably known as the Lamars Chicks, creating chaos and bad rock 'n' roll wherever they went. "Lamar" was also a verb, and we believed it meant something not-very-nice, but we won't go into that.
In the top photo, taken in 1974, they pestered sweet little cousin Sammy. In the second, from 1975, they sang Kiss songs (Chris had his Kiss makeup on) until Pam, just home from a grueling night of waitressing at the Whistle Stop cafe in New Frontenac, Minn., either screamed or sang along. In the last photo, taken in 1976, they bugged Uncle Bill, who frankly was just like them, beneath the blue plates. Note the grandfather clock's missing face; it must have been out for repair. That old clock, which Alverna and Bill got in West Germany in the 1960s, now lives in Pam's Robbinsdale living room.
