The Reverend Doctor Barrister cousin
Cathy M., the Reverend Doctor Barrister cousin, is a relative of great dignity. For instance, today she e-mailed us these jokes:
Knock knock. Who's there? Dyslexic. Dyslexic how?
Knock knock. Who's there? Doris. Doris who? Dor-is locked, that's why I knocked!
As if that weren't quite enough, she then offered this Super Bowl commentary: "Good game, stupid half-time show... Prince is weird." The scrapblog editor notes that Prince and the Minneapolis sound are only the best thing to emerge in music in the past 20 years, but we digress.
Back to dignity! Here are a couple of shots of Cousin Chats' church, First Presbyterian in Wichita, Kan. You can see her teeny little self in one. (Not to mention her teeny little self from 1962 at right.) Her church is a stunning place, and Cousin Chats is doing some wonderful work in the world there. The scrapblog editor personally observed her kindness to the ragged and humble street people of Wichita who came into the church seeking help during a December visit. If you can think of any more important work than that ... well, you can't, really.
